ok I know this is kind of stupid, but it is so funny!

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow

So, what's up with this cool weather! They said last year was the coldest winter on record. On the other hand, I think it would be another really cold winter. Oh and come on now what about snow! If its going to be this cold, why won't it snow!

Why I Like Homeschooling

Many people are talking about education. There are many educational options, including public school, private school, and home schooling. Most people think public school is the best alternative. Fortunately, my family has a different point of veiw. I am home educated, and I think it is better for me than traditional school.

To begin, home schooling allows me to have more free time and home work is never a problem. A typical home school day is about from 9:00 to 1:00 or 2:00. I do school 4 days a week and the other day I catch up with work that I did not complete during the week. I can also use the extra day to go on field trips. I can choose if I want do some of my school work at night or all in the morning. As a result I can stay up late and sleep in in the morning.

Another reason I prefer homeschooling is my ability to take trips in the middle of the school year. Kids in traditional school have to wait for a holiday break or when school gets out. I can also do school work ahead of time or on my vacation instead of having to do it at school when I get back. I can also do school work in the car. As a result I can do school work any where.

Most importantly, it’s more Godly. For instance I take bible as a subject. Also Home schooling allows me to pray a lot. We also teach creation not evolution, because I believe God made the heavens and the earth. As a result, I center every thing around God.

So if you had the choice of public school or homeschooling give homeschooling a try. I’m glad I chose home schooling. Homeschooling allows me to work in the environment I enjoy. So if you had the opportunity to choose your education I highly recommend that the you select homeschooling.

The Tragedy of the 9/11 Attacks

On September 11, 2001, Al-Qaeda terrorists attacked the United States of America. Al-Qaeda sent 19 hijacker's on four different planes and planned to crash them into the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York, the Pentagon building in Arlington, Virginia, and the capitol building in Washington DC. They managed to completely destroy the twin towers and one side of the pentagon. One of the planes crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The terrorists killed a total of 2977 people on September 11. The passengers on flight 93, 77, and 175 were allowed to call home using the cabin airphone service and there own mobile phones. The passengers provided details that several Al-Qaeda members were aboard each plane using mace or other forms of noxious chemical sprays, such as tear gas or pepper spray was used and some passengers were stabbed. Al Qaeda’s well thought out plan affected people all around the nation.

Al-Qaeda hijacked flights American 11 and United 175 early in the morning. At 8:46 Tuesday morning, fight 11 crashed into the North Tower. At 9:03, flight 175 crashed into the South Tower. The jet fuel in the planes set the buildings on fire, trapping hundreds of people in the tops of the building. Firefighters ran into the buildings to save people. There were people jumping from the top of the buildings and pieces of the building were falling. The south tower collapsed at 9:59 after burning for 56 minutes. The north tower fell at 10:28 after burning for 102 minutes. The collapse of the towers killed 147 plane passengers and 2606 people trapped in the buildings, including firefighters and first responders.

The same day, five Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked United Flight 77, which they flew into the Pentagon building in Arlington, VA at 9:37 AM. The crash killed 125 people in the building and 59 on the plane. Lots of people saw the crash and reporters shared the news very quickly. A portion of the building was severely damaged and fires raged on for days afterwards.
The Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked a fourth flight, United 93, and intended to fly it into a target in Washington, DC. Fortunately, the terrorists were surprised by passengers who overtook the terrorists and forced them to crash the plane into the ground in a field in Shanksville Pennsylvania. The passengers on board started a fight with the hijackers. The passengers were allowed to call home using the cabin airphone service and there own mobile phones. In a inter view in 2002 they found out that it was planned for fight 93 crash into the Capitol Building from an al-Qaeda terrorist that stayed behind.

New York and the world still grieve over the loss of family members and friends that died on the fateful day. Also fear has overcome the country, because every one feels where they are is next target. Some people feel angry and violated, because they were attacked and they no longer feel safe. America will never be the same.

Guinea Pigs

Would you have ever imagined a rodent to be your best friend? I am here to tell you some more about these furry companions, about their dietary needs, safe and non-safe bedding, breeding, and so much more.

Guinea pigs have a particular diet. They are vegetarians (a vegetarian means they eat only fruit and veggies). If mal-nourished, cavies have a hard time being that lovable animal you’ve always known. Right now let’s just focus on the basics of every day needs. Your little guy needs a balanced diet of pelleted food, hay, and water. Some safe foods include the brand name Nutriphase Gold, Hartz Bonanza, and many others. Some treats to feed your pets are celery, carrots, parsley, kiwi, apples, pears, broccoli, and kale. Some things to definatly stay away from, if you want a happy healthy cavy, are cilantro, pizza, chocolate, iceberg lettuce, spinach, beet tops, and the green parts of potatoes.

Guinea pig cages need to be in a cool area whether its in your house or outside. There are several different types of bedding available. A pet owner should be cautious when choosing the proper bedding. There are wood shavings, recycled, shedded or pelleted paper biproducts, grass hay, chopped straw, woodchips, sawdust, and corn cobs. Although you may find these all available at the pet store, not all of those are good for your little furry friend. Pine, cedar, wood chips, sawdust, cat litter, and corn-cob pieces may all cause health issues including sore feet, dry skin, and respiratory problems.

Breeding guinea pigs can be a hobby or just something you would like to try. There are ups and downs to breeding. The mother is always in danger of death in this process. She could become ill during pregnancy or simply her body is just too fragile to handle all the stress. The mom becomes more and more detached from her owner while pregnant. Though guinea pigs have a certain period in time when they are the best to breed, for example girl cavies can only breed before they hit the age of 2 years old(some have earlier deadlines then that), once they have mated it may take an average of 20 hours for her to concieve. Then after that it takes her two months until she is to expect.

Before you take on the responsibility of owning a guinea pig, talk to an employee of your local petstore. You will also need to look more online or in books to find out any information you may need to know about other topics that we didn’t cover. Guinea pigs can be a joy to have around if you want to take the commintment of owning these cudly little friends.

Fingerprints of God

I can see the tears filling your eyes
And I know where they're coming from
they're coming from a heart that's broken in two
by what you don't see
the person in the mirror
doesn't look like the magazine
oh, but when i look at you its clear to me that . . .

I can see the fingerprints of God
When i look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And i know it's true
You're a masterpiece
that all creation quietly applauds
and you're covered with the fingerprints of God

Today I drove up to a Christian pumpkin farm called Burt's farm. It was a long drive from my house, but I didn't mind because it was so pretty outside. imgres.jpeg We went on a hayride and picked out a very big pumpkin. I think Burt's farm is the best pumpkin farm.

imgres.jpg

Burt's grow really big pumpkins. The sizes vary from the size of a sand dollar to 2 ft in circumference. Our pumpkin was so large we had to carry it in a wagon. are lots different choices to pick from. About 9 varieties of pumpkins are grown in their fields. They have over 300 large bright orange ones, about 100 medium sizes, and about a 100 tiny ones. They sell white ones, variegated ones, squash of every color and gourds of every size.imgres.jpg
Burt's is a Christian pumpkin farm. In their store they have a big sign that says, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me," Philippians 4:13 WEB. On the hayride, the talking pumpkins said , "Even though the seasons and temperatures change God's love stays the same."

Morningstar Ministry/former Heritage USA

This weekend I went to a Morning Star conference at HIM (Heritage International Ministries)retreat center formally known as Heritage USA, 22 years ago. It had a water park and and a lot more!It was build by the PTL Club (short for ''Praise The Lord") founders televangelist Jim Bakker and Tammy Faye Bakker Messner. The area was 2,300 acres and was build by noted church builder Roe Messner. He later married Tammy Faye Bakker after her divorce from Jim Bakker. In the center of the property was a big lake. In the middle of the lake there was a island that they called "Heritage Island" that contained the water park. Since the closure in 1989,projects have been constructed on the grounds of the former theme park with varying success, and portions of the property have been sold to several companies. Heritage USA opened is 1978 and by 1986 it was one of the top vacation destinations in the nation, behind only Walt Disney World and Disneyland, attracting nearly six million visitors annually and employing around 2,500 people.
Morningstar Ministries and Rick Joyner purchased the property a few years for less than $2 million and started restoring the property. Now the property used for Christian worship and teaching conference.

Rain rain rain

Today it rained so heavy. After the whole day raining and pouring non -stop there was a beautiful rainbow. Its colors were so bright it was amazing. The red and blue and yellow show alot. Before I took this pic the sky had been dark all day so when the rainbow first came out it was really bright. So then I got curious what makes rainbows happen or you could say how are rainbow made. I looked up how rainbows are formed. From my research I found out that a rainbow is an arc of light separated into bands of color that show up when the sun's rays are refracted and reflected by drops of rain. The colors of most rainbows are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. More often only a few colors are visible.

8 Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying: 9 “And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you, 10 “and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the earth. 11 “Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12 And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 “It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 “and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 “The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.

Diabetes

Diabetes is a disease having to do with insulin.
Type 1 is when your body doesn't make any insulin. Type 2 is when your body doesn't make enough insulin. Insulin is needed to help glucose get into our bloodstream. Glucose is make from the digestion of food. It is fuel for our body. Without it our metabolism work correctly. That means our body can't break down food properly.
Famous people with diabetes are:

Flood stories- Noah, Aboriginal tale, Theories ideas

Have you ever wondered if the flood in the Bible ever happened? Well, it must have. Throughout history, historians talk about a flood that happened a long time ago, even in Australia. They talk about a aboringinal legend.Even though the aboringinal legend and the flood in genesis are similar they are many differences. In the genesis story the people disobeyed God , so he sent a flood. In the Aboriginal legend, kids tormented a owl named Dumbi so their god Ngadja, sent a flood to kill the children. Also in the Genesis story God told Nosh to build a ark to save his family from the flood he was going to send.In the legend the god named Ngadja, told a man named Gajara to put his family on a raft so they would be safe. At the end of both stories there is a rainbow.

Other Theorists ideas:

“Obviously, the description of kol erets is modified by the name of the land, indicating a local area from the context. In fact, the term kol erets is nearly always used in the Old Testament to describe a local area of land, instead of our entire planet.
The "whole earth" often refers to the people not geography
However, there are many more examples of where kol erets is used without reference to any specific land, although the context clearly indicates a local area. For example, in Genesis 11 (the Tower of Babel) the text says, "the whole [kol] earth [erets] used the same language."6 We know that this reference is not really to the earth at all (and certainly not to the "whole earth"), but to the people of the earth, who all lived in one geographic location. It wasn't until later that God scattered the people over the face of the earth.6 There are many other examples of where kol erets actually refers to people rather than the geography of the "whole earth":
• "Is not the whole [kol] land [erets] before you? Please separate from me: if to the left, then I will go to the right; or if to the right, then I will go to the left." (Genesis 13:9) (The "whole land" was only the land of Canaan)
• And the people of all [kol] the earth [erets] came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe in all the earth. (Genesis 41:57) (The people from the Americas did not go to Egypt)
• Then God said, "Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all [kol] the earth [erets], nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the LORD, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you. (Exodus 34:10) (There would be no need to add "nor among any of the nations" if "all the earth" referred to the entire planet.)
• 'You shall then sound a ram's horn abroad on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall sound a horn all [kol] through your land [erets]. (Leviticus 25:9) (The Hebrews were not required to sound a horn throughout the entire earth)
• 'Thus for every [kol] piece [erets] of your property, you are to provide for the redemption of the land. (Leviticus 25:24) (The law does not apply only to those who own the entire earth)
• behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece only, and it is dry on all [kol] the ground [erets], then I will know that Thou wilt deliver Israel through me, as Thou hast spoken." (Judges 6:37, see also 6:39-40) (kol erets could not refer to the entire earth, since it would not be possible for Gideon to check the entire earth)
And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba, and the Philistines heard of it. Then Saul blew the trumpet throughout [kol] the land [erets], saying, "Let the Hebrews hear." (1 Samuel 13:3) (Obviously, Saul could not have blown a trumpet loud enough to be heard throughout the entire earth)”1

Subduction Zones
When two oceanic plates collide, the younger of the two plates, because it is less dense,* will ride over the edge of the older plate. *[Oceanic plates grow more dense as they cool and move further away from the Mid-Ocean Ridge]. (Image: Keith-Wiess Geological Laboratories; Rice University)

The older, heavier plate bends and plunges steeply through the athenosphere, and descending into the earth, it forms a trench that can be as much as 70 miles wide, more than a thousand miles long, and several miles deep. The
Marianas Trench, where the enormous Pacific Plate is descending under the leading edge of the Eurasian Plate, is the deepest sea floor in the world. It curves northward from near the island of Guam and its bottom lies close to 36,000 feet below the surface of the Pacific Ocean.

Trench Flipping
If the descending oceanic plate is carrying a continent, the less dense continental material cannot sink, so it dives into the trench behind the leading oceanic crust until it gets stuck. This crumples its leading edge into folded mountains and causes some of the oceanic crust of the overlying plate to be deposited on top of the continent. Pressure steadily builds up until the trench “flips,” and the previously overriding oceanic plate dives under the continental crust. This could explain why most ocean trenches are found along the edges of continents.

If a trench has flipped because of the arrival of a continent, and the newly subducted plate also carries a continent, a collision of land masses is unavoidable. When this happens, subduction terminates along the collision zone, the trench disappears, and the continents collide, resulting in the birth of a new mountain range.
Sometimes an entire plate can disappear if the plates’ leading edge is being consumed in a subduction trench faster than new crust is being added at the ridge on its trailing edge. When this happens, the ridge slowly moves toward the trench and the whole plate is eventually drawn down into the mantle, causing a global rearrangement of other plates and their borders.
